In addition, Havertz goals scoring form in the premier league this season is there for everyone to see. Therefore, there is no doubt Kai will be a major player for Chelsea in the 2022 Champions League and Germany in the upcoming World Cup games.

Phil Foden (Manchester City)

Moreover, Foden contender will be backed by the way Manchester City ends the season. And since City, is in the race of winning treble Foden’s performance will be a decider where he finishes. As of now, Foden plays a major role in City’s extraordinary campaign scoring here and there or creating chances. More to that Foden hopefully will get a place in the England World Cup squad in 2022.

Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool)

Trent Arnold is undoubtedly the best right back in the world for the past few years. His strength at the back and ability to create chances upfront puts him in the race of Ballon d’Or. Moreover, Liverpool’s aim of winning the remaining three titles depends on the performance of Arnold. Therefore, if he continues to back up his side in winning the title then Ballon d’Or could be a reality for the young defender. Similarly, Arnold can shine with the England side in the upcoming World cup in 2022.

Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid)

Vinicius Junior has finally found his feet after a couple of poor performances. The young Real Madrid winger currently holds the image of a power performer for the Real Madrid side. The 21-year-old has already reached the double-figure for goal and assist in Laliga. Also, Real Madrid is in the race of every title there is to win.

Vinicius has a high chance of winning the Ballon d’Or in near future considering his age and ability. However, it could happen this year as well if he helps Madrid win the Champions League and Laliga. Also, the Brazillian can impress the world in his first global international tournament World Cup in Qatar.

Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus)

Dusan Vlahobic is one such name who would surely win the award as ‘Breakthrough Player of the Season’. However, since there isn’t any such award Dusan appears in our list of Ballon d’Or contenders. He took his game to the next level since arriving at Juventus in the 2021-2022 season. He settled in Turin like no other player.

The Serbian international has already scored goals and assisted in double-figure. He single-handedly helped Juventus win games in both Champions League and Serie A. Also, Juventus would have been below in the points table without the contribution of Vlahovic. Therefore, if Juventus wins major titles and if Serbia does incredibly well in the World Cup, Vlahovic will be the major contender for the Ballon d’Or despite the odds.
